Mount Damavand Iran
Damavand is a perfect cone-shape volcano located in the central part of Alborz Mountain Range in north of Iran on the southern coast of the Caspian Sea. Damavand Volcano is 5671 meters high. It is the highest volcano in Asia, the highest summit in the Middle East and the second highest volcano in the northern hemisphere.

Snow covers the entire mountain in winter and the upper parts in the other seasons. Damavand (in Persian دماوند) has a narrow summit crater usually covered with snow-cap and cloud. The snowy white peak with its regular Lenticular Cap Cloud is the most beautiful sight of Iran. Damavand is surrounded by many good looking peaks of the Alborz Chain. The view of this huge mountain looks more attractive from away than close up. In a clear day it is visible far from 250 km.
Damavand is a summer program for 5 days
Day 1: Imam Khomeini airport to the city Rineh camp 1 2000m.
Day 2: First Camp to Camp 2 with the car .... And go to Camp 3
Day 3: climbing to the summit of Damavand and return to the camp 3 4200 m
Day 4: from camp 3 to camp 1
Day 5: return to Tehran and airport

Camp 3 Bargah
The high camp (or the third camp) of Mt Damavand on the south trail is called Bargah Sevom. There are two safe havens and some tenting and camping places on this campsite at 4200 meters above the sea level. Damavand Old Shelter, 4220 masl, is the oldest refuge and the Damawand New Hut, 4250 masl, is the newest mountain resort in the area.

Camp 2 Base
The second camp (or the base camp) of Mount Damawand is called Goosfand Sara (also called the Mosque). Damavand Base Camp is located at altitude 3000 masl and it is the summer starting point of the south face. There is a small shelter, in this campsite. This place is a good place for acclimatization.

. Camp 2 of Damavand Mount that is called Goosfandsara is located on the height of 3000m.
In this place, the climbers may use the carriage facilities by mule in summer.
The loads are carried by carriers in April and May.
In Goosfand sara (camp 2), the area for resting and night accommodation is available.
The walking begins from camp 2 and lasts about 5 hours to camp 3
Camp 1 that is Rineh City is located on the height of 2000m.
The climbers in camp 1 use local houses and hotel.
Within camp 1 (Rineh) to camp 2, the climbers use car.
This path lasts 1 hour by car
Accommodation Reineh
For a safe trek to any summit is essential to find the proper accomodation and use the safest campsites in the area. If you intend to attempt Damawand Mountain either from the classic south route or the west trail, the following campsites are the best places for Accomodation and settlement. Camp 1 Reineh city as the first camp and the best starting point and Camp 3 Bargah New Hut as the high camp.
